The bridge over the Rubicon is the border between 'Roma' and 'Gallia' (= Gallia Cisalpina, Cisalpine Gaul - Gaul on this side of the Alps) as is indicated by signs on both sides of the bridge. Julius Caesar stands on the Roman side of the bridge.
