Annotation
In connection with the Columbus festivities of 1992 part of the harbour region of Genoa was altered into exhibition and fair grounds. This alteration was conducted by the architect Renzo Piano. Among other things he designed the Bigo (mast) as a symbol of the Columbus celebration.
