Description

The monument with the title 'Cararia' (Latin name of Carrara), depicts in the center the the union leader Alberto Meschi in a brotherly and firm attitude of defending a group of quarry workers, accompanied by children and a woman. At the sides of the monument are inscribed the achievements of working hours obtained by the Carrara Chamber of Labor under the guidance of Meschi: quarry workers 6½ hours; miners 6 hours.
