Description

Red granite commemorative plaque with two bronze medallions, one with a portrait of Vytautas the Great ('VYTAUTAS DIDYSIS 1430 1930'), in the background is depicted the Battle of Tannenberg, similar to that which is found on Polish artist Jan Matejko's famous rendition of the battle painted in 1878. The secons medal shows a map of Lithuania in the 15th century. These medallions are the both sides of a medal struck to commemorate the Vitautas the Great year 1930.
