Obelisk, with on one side a relief portrait of Grün and on the others sides three of Grün's achievements.
In 2012 a new monument was erected at the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Grün's death (see here).

John (Johann) Grün, also known as John Grun Marx and the Luxembourg Hercules (Mondorf-les-Bains 1868 - Ettelbruck 1912), was believed to be the strongest man in the world at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Together with Aloysius Marx, a professional athlete, he formed a strongman partnership called "The Marx Brothers" or "The Two Marks", attracting crowds of enthusiasts wherever they appeared. His acts included tearing apart decks of cards and horse shoes, breaking a block of stone on his chest with a hammer or halting a moving car
