MONUMENTO A ANTERO DE QUENTAL projecto do escultor canto da maya Busto e parte central realizados pelo autor – inauguração em 18 de abril de 1942. Figuras "Filosofia" e "Sentimento" executadas pelo Escultor Soares Branco, a partir dos estudos deixados por Mestre Canto da Maya, existentes no Museu Carlos Machado. Conclusão do Monumento por decisão do Conselho de Governo da Região Autónoma dos Acores, através da Secretaria Regional da Educação e Cultura, com a colaboração da Câmara Municipal de Ponta Delgada – 16 de Abril de 1995.

MONUMENT TO ANTERO DE QUENTAL Project by the sculptor Canto da Maya Bust and central part performed by the author - inaugurated 18 April 1942. Figures "Philosophy" and "Sentiment" performed by the sculptor Soares Branco from studies made by Master Canto da Maya, existing in the Museum Carlos Machado. Completion of the monument by decision of the Governing Council of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, through the Regional Secretariat of Education and Culture, in collaboration with the City Council of Ponta Delgada - 16 April 1995.
