Description

Six marble statues in two groups of three:

Three Pilgrims to Bom Jesus of Ponta Delgada.
Two Washwomen and a Child

Each statue measures about 2 meters by 1 meter. The sculptures with basic geometric shapes, are robust and wide, representing the strength of the people formerly and every year , crossed the South to the North of the Island of Madeira to Ponta Delgada in order to fulfill their religious duty and celebrate festival in honor of the Lord of Bom Jesus de Ponta Delgada . This initiative of the Municipality of San Vicente ascended the 207,635.86 Euros and featured a contribution from ADRAMA 150 thousand euros
