
 
Description
The fountain consists of two thousand streams, which rise to a height of 24 meters. It consists of a large octagonal basin with in the center a sculpture of a scyphiform sheaf, sunflowers and hemp, around which are 16 gold female figures with agricultural attributes, representing the 16 Soviet Republics.
In 2004-2005, major overhauls, in which all shapes and decorative elements of the fountain have been re-covered with gold leaf.
The depicted republicas are, clockwise starting from Russia which is opposite the main pavillion:

Annotation
The fountain is one of the main symbols of the Agricultural Exhibition and was created to glorify the people of the Soviet Union.
The fountain is designed by the sculptor-painter K.T. Topuridze - К. Т. Топуридзе, and engineer V.I. Klyavin - В.И. Клявин, assisted by a team of sculptors Z.V. Bazhenova - З.В. Баженова, A.I. Teneta - А.И. Тенета, I.M. Chaykov - И.М. Чайков, Z.V. Ryleyeva - З.В. Рылеева, and V.P. Gavrilov - В.П. Гаврилов.
