Annotation

Life-size statue dedicated to Pope John Paul II for his visit to Denver in 1993 for World Youth Day VIII. The statue is blessed and dedicated by Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., on 17 May 2009. The statue was installed on April 2, the fourth anniversary of the late pontiff's death. The dedication date was one day before his birthday.
