Description

Monument commemorating the landings of the Brandenburg and later, Prussian troops on the island of Rügen in the year 1715. Sandstone statue (3.4 m high, copy, click here for the original) on a column carved from one of the largest glacial erratics in North Germany, the Great Rock near Nardevitz on Rügen's Jasmund peninsula.
