Description

Fountain with sculptures depicting the occupations which formerly prevailed in Euskirchen: Farmer, Tanner and Weaver. The three figures are shown in their typical workmanship pose with their 'working tools' in natural size. The farmer pushes the cart loaded with vegetable baskets to the market, the tanner 'scrapes' leather and the weaver works at the loom, which determines the central construction of the fountain.

Sculptor

Bonifatius Stirnberg (Freienohl 1933), German sculptor, famous for his fountains where the figures can be adjusted and moved (Wikipedia).
