Description

Large monument with as the main element a 40 m high column with a bronze statue of the Marquis the Pombal accompanied by a lion, symbolizing strength, determination and royalty.

Portraits

The capital of the column is adorned with portrait medaillons, representing the main collaborators of Pombal. On the front and back with one portrait, and on the sides each with three portraits.
